Putney Wedding Photographer Oli & Kitty
Putney Wedding Photographer Oli & Kitty Who remembers that first wedding in the film ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ you know the one with the beautiful church, beautifully English marquee garden reception and a banging party with a live band, well Kitty and Oli’s lovely wedding in Putney encompassed all of these fine qualities but added one more thing, a family touch.
Kitty and Oli were very specific about their needs when we had discussed their wedding, from starting at each parents home to the church, from pictures using the surrounding area of Putney to feeling at home. All this photographed by me in a way that i just became part of the family and not causing a distraction to them or their guests in any way. This gave me my first opportunity to photograph a family home wedding, with hired help for the marquee, hog roast and waiters everything else was done by family members or Kitty herself. The simple yet effective table decorations, aunties cooking (look out for the pork pie picture), the flowers and the evening entertainment provided by her sisters band, all helped to create that quintessentially english family wedding. There were some very light hearted moments of entertainment along the way especially with the vicar referring to Liverpool Football Club (Oli is an avid Manchester United fan) that went down well to a shoeless organ player, topped off with one of the best groomsmen speeches i have witnessed. One final surprise was a barbershop style rendition of the “Chapel of Love” by Kitty’s girlfriends with a few of the words changed to suit. It was great to be a part of their day, here are some of their pictures….
